Accessibility Statement

EFFECTIVE AUGUST 19, 2026

Y·INSPIRE is built to be read by everyone. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

Read-to-me narration on every story in the Digital Reading Room, in the language you select; translation into Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Japanese; adjustable zoom in the flipbook; keyboard-operable navigation and modals; descriptive labels on icon buttons; and text contrast chosen for readability.

KNOWN LIMITATIONS

The flipbook reproduces printed magazine pages as images, so some page text is not selectable by screen readers. Every story in that issue is also published as fully readable text in the Digital Reading Room. Automated translations and narration may occasionally be imperfect.

SOUND AND MOTION

Background music can be muted at any time with the sound toggle, and narration lowers the music automatically. Page-turn and confetti animations are brief and decorative.

REQUEST AN ACCESSIBLE FORMAT

If any part of the issue is difficult to access, tell us what you need — a plain-text version of a story, a large-print excerpt, or an audio file — and we will provide it. Contact us and we aim to respond within five business days.

ONGOING WORK

Accessibility is reviewed with each issue. Reader reports directly shape what we fix next.
